Mini Bernedoodle Puppies For Sale & Adoption

Bernedoodle puppies are a cross breed between a Bernese mountain dog and a poodle. Depending on how much of either breed is passed along to the puppy, the Bernedoodle can exhibit a wide range of personality traits and physical characteristics. In general, though, the Bernedoodle is known for being friendly, intelligent, and fairly active. If you’re looking for a very loyal dog that can live indoors but also loves to be active outdoors, this may be your favorite breed.

Because of the wide range of characteristics that a Bernedoodle puppy can inherit from its Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle parents, their height and weight also tend to vary dramatically. Adult Bernedoodle dogs can weigh anywhere from 10-20 pounds on the “miniature” side, all the way up to 60-90 pounds on the “large” side of the spectrum. Similarly, they can stand anywhere from 10 to 30 inches tall.

This breed loves to cuddle, and does well indoors, so they make a great pet for families with children, or individuals who live by themselves and need companionship. They also have a pretty high “hypoallergenic” rating, although no furry pet is completely hypoallergenic. Because they do well indoors and are very receptive to training, the Bernedoodle is fairly easy to care for. They can be trained to take care of business outdoors or at a designated spot indoors. And they tend to have fewer health issues than some other breeds, which is an added benefit.

Despite doing very well indoors, Bermedoodle puppies and adults love to be active outside. You should expect to need to go on daily walks or at least give this dog some time outside to run around and burn off some steam, such as in a fenced-in backyard.

This is a loyal and intelligent breed, so you may be surprised at how friendly it behaves around family and friends that it becomes familiar with. That said, it can take a little more time to “warm up” to strangers than other breeds do, so it’s good to regularly socialize this type of dog to make sure it doesn’t feel threatened by strangers.
